The STEP-NC specificatioii, coupled with XML, promiscs to connect CNCs to the Ititcnici and streamline the NC machining process. In the present work we show a procedure able to manipulate a XML APZ3X format file, that contains thc part program data refaled trr the geometricd definitions, io ihe features, to [he production strategies and lo the tools cinployed in a produclion cycle. This procedure wi[l allow operating also in remore mode, typically ernploycd in Concurrent Engincering. Moreover i t is ahle to commnnicaie also with cominercial CAD/CAM Software,allowiiig a complete integration and an easier migration roward thc use of such new standards.
